Loosely modeled after the Bach Two-Part Invention, this short piece was partially composed and fully realized in SuperCollider, an open-source programming language and environment for sound synthesis.
After writing the first 12 bars more or less the traditional way, with pencil and paper, I used a function to invert the music and swap its register, yielding the next 12. A dash-to-the-finish coda rounds out the piece.
